Aerospike Kubernetes Operator system requirements

Supported Aerospike Database versions

Aerospike Kubernetes Operator (AKO) supports the following Aerospike Database editions:

• Enterprise Edition (EE) 6.0 and later
• Federal Edition (FE) 6.0 and later

Supported Kubernetes versions

• Kubernetes 1.23 to 1.34.

Supported platforms

• Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

  Caution

  Aerospike does not support GKE Autopilot clusters, only standard clusters. Autopilot clusters impose certain restrictions that can impact deployment workflows on both OLM and Helm.

  • OLM does not work well in Autopilot clusters due to resource constraints.
  • On Helm, cert-manager does not work out of the box due to Autopilot’s enforced security.

• Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Locally via Minikube or Microk8s.

Required local setup

The computer where you run kubectl commands needs:

• kubectl 1.23 or later.
• The files in the Aerospike Kubernetes Operator GitHub repository.
